Female Viagra: gets your desire

The North American Menopause Society published a study on the sex lives after natural or surgical menopause and a possible solution to the lack of sexual desire in this age. It consists of a treatment with flibanserin , also known as "female Viagra" , which previously had not been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Agency of the United States) since 2010 failed to prove their effectiveness.

In the study, women taking flibanserin, increased the number of satisfying sexual encounters and improved their desire. Researchers clarify that only 30 percent of the study volunteers experienced some side effects such as dizziness, nausea and headache, but only 8 percent I had to stop taking the drug for this reason.

They note that there are no serious side effects in women who undergo this treatment . Cholesterol, Low Density Lipoprotein, triglycerides and glucose, do not vary significantly. Moreover, the levels of good cholesterol if decreased but not significantly.

In comparison with men, sexual difficulties in women are psychological, not physical, something doctors should consider before diagnosing disorders of the sexual impulse as relationship problems, hormonal disorders and depression
