Tips for deodorizing a backpack

Sometimes no matter how many times you wash them a backpack , odors persist. Maybe food residue or accidentally spill drinks are removed, but they left no odor. Thinking about it, we tell you  how to deodorize a backpack for the cleanup is complete.

Baking soda

One of the things we can use to deodorize a backpack is the baking soda . To work, after washing the backpack we shed within half a cup of baking soda, close the bag and shake vigorously to ensure that bicarbonate can reach the hardest cracks.

Once we are sure that the baking soda covered well inside the backpack, we just have to let it sit for about 2 or 3 days, after that we can now open the bag and remove the baking soda to use as usual. 

Carbon Block

Another solution to deodorize a backpack is put in it, a pair of nylon bags filled with small blocks of activated carbon, this will remove any smell inside the backpack. But this method for deodorizing backpacks can take to be effective as to remove odors have to let stand the backpack 5 or 7 days with activated carbon blocks inside.

Vanilla extract

Believe it or not, the vanilla extract to use for cooking can also be used to deodorize a backpack , to do this we just have to pour a few drops on newspaper then do ball and put it in the bags backpack. We have to let it rest in the backpack about 2 or 3 days, so the paper can absorb odors backpack while leaving the soft scent of vanilla in it.

Coffee

Coffee is also very effective for deodorizing, it is also very easy to use. To deodorize a backpack with coffee just have to do some balls stuffed with paper towels and place into the coffee. For the coffee absorbs odors you have to lock the bag and let stand for 3 or 4 days.

How to remove odors from the outside of the backpack

If odors are coming from the outside of your bag do not worry, the white vinegar that usually used for salads also serves to deodorize a backpack, we just have to make a solution of one part vinegar to three parts hot water. This solution will apply it on the outside of the pack using a spray bottle, moisten well assured the bag and then let air dry.

If despite all odors are not removed on the outside of the bag, you can use a commercial cleaner to remove or a solution of alcohol and water. 

With these tips you can deodorize your backpack and keep a refreshing clean scent.
