Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

Today it is important to have an eco-minded and respect for the environment. So in an attempt to bring sustainable living and here a recipe to make your own homemade dishwasher detergent that leaves your dishes and clean your dishwasher smelling like a bouquet of lavender without spending a fortune.

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent


Ingredients


  1. 2 cups Baking Soda or carbonate
  2. 2 cups of Borax
  3. 3/4 cup vinegar
  4. 1/2 cup Kosher Salt or Sea Salt
  5. 6 drops of Lavender Oil

Instructions

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

1. Add all ingredients in a large bowl and mix.

2. Put some of the mixture in your hand. You want it to be easily grouped. If the mixture is too dry add a little more vinegar.

3. Pour a little with a spoon in a small tray of ice cubes or any small mold you have.

4. Press the soap into the mold. You will need to pack them tight. Once filled, allow to dry for 24 hours. The next day, you can take them out and store in a jar or other container. They work just like store bought, only put in the dishwasher and turn.
