Recipe:
- 1 1/4 cups white vinegar
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1 cup soda
- 1 cup borax
- 1/4 cup liquid Castile soap
- Use for mixing a large, non-metal bowl. Start with the vinegar and stir continuously as you add each powder.
- Try mixing and break up the clumps. Complete with liquid soap. The mixture will look wet, like a thick paste, but keep stirring and it will start to flake and fall apart in a detergent powder wet.
- Keep stirring, if you stop doing it too soon, you will find a hard mass the next time you use it. So use your biceps and stir until completion.
- You will end up with a paste with the consistency of soft and lumpy bread which crumbles easily when you want to use.
If you use unscented Castile soap, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
Store in a covered container and use 1/4 cups for each cycle.
