Your spice cabinet is full of simple solutions, try these extraordinary uses for ordinary things.

Take a hair rinse

You can restore the shine to your hair with a homemade rinse that will enhance your natural color. For dark hair , use 1 tablespoon minced sage or 1 sprig fresh rosemary , chopped or make a mixture of 1 teaspoon allspice, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves. For light hair , use 1 tablespoon of chamomile. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the herb or spice mix, let stand for 30 minutes, strain and let cool. Pour several times on her hair as a final rinse after shampooing.

Fight foot odor

Sage is ideal for preventing foot odor as it kills the bacteria that grow in the warm, moist environment inside your shoes. Only one or two leaves flakes in your shoes before putting them on. At the end of the day, simply shake the remains in the trash.

Deodorize bottles for reuse

Would like to reuse those wonderful wide-mouth jars, but simply wash with soap and water will not get rid of the smell of brine? What to do? Keep your cool thermos

Only uncover the thermos bottle that has not been used for six months, and you will notice that the interior smells musty. To prevent it from happening again, place a whole clove inside the thermos before closing. One teaspoon of salt also works. Be sure to drain and rinse the thermos before using.

Perfume your home

What could be cozier than a nice scent? Instead of using air fresheners commercial, just throw a handful of cloves or a cinnamon stick in a pot of water and keep on low heat in the oven for half an hour until your house smells good.

Keep intact wool

Wool clothing can last a lifetime if you avoid moths. If you do not have a closet lined with the cedar chest, you can preserve your cold weather clothing bags using cloves. Buy a small muslin bags in a food store and fill Naturist each with a handful of cloves. To avoid any transfer of oil or stain clothing and to contain any spill, put the envelope in a small plastic bag, but unsealed. Hang on a hanger in the closet or put between wool sweater.

Mantega ants at bay

The flour, sugar and paprika may be victims of ants. Keep these essential elements of safe kitchen putting a bay leaf in their storage containers. Protect your garden

For centuries, gardeners have used companion planting to repel insect pests . Aromatic herbs such as basil, marigolds and salvia are reputed to send a signal to the bugs to go elsewhere, so try to plant some near the most prized vegetables. Mint, thyme, dill, and sage are fellow favorite plants of the cabbage family (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts) for its purported ability to repel cabbage moths. Best of all, you can eat these tasty herbs.
