How to teach a child to respect your body

Respect is very important in life, not only respect others, also respecting yourself and your body. As parents it is our responsibility to give our children the tools to learn to respect and be respected, it seems easy, but it is no simple task to know how to teach a child to respect your body .

You respect our bodies are linked to different things, not only to take care that no one is exceeded, but also take care of inside and out. Keep in mind that our body will accompany us throughout life, so the sooner we start to learn to respect and care for the better.

To teach respect for the body can be divided into different areas:

Feeding

The body is nourished and grows by what we give you in food. It is important to eat a healthy and varied forms, from small can teach our children to make healthy and natural options.

Rest

Exercise

Exercise is essential to keep the body in its best shape and also healthy. The exercise in childhood can build stronger bones and muscles as well as burn calories and expend energy which then allow us to rest better.

Hygiene

Take a bath or shower every day like brushing your teeth or washing your hair, it is essential for the care of the physical aspect of the body , and health.

Making good decisions

Teach children what is good or bad for the body will also allow us to teach them to respect it. Keep in mind the harmful effects of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes and instill a good decision that will allow them to care for and respect your body.

To teach them to respect your body must also take account of the sexual abuse, the difference in doing something with or without consent.
