Preparing homemade lotion using oats

Oatmeal soothes the skin and helps reduce the itching, burning and swelling. Make your own oatmeal lotion to cure dry skin , flaking, itching and sunburn minors. Prepare your own cream allows you to choose all natural ingredients , and prepare your beauty products avoiding synthetic fragrances, preservatives and sulfates including commercial lotions.

Preparing homemade lotion using oats

Ingredients


  • ½ cup fine oatmeal
  • 2 cups of distilled water
  • A pan with lid
  • A fine sieve
  • A stainless steel bowl or glass
  • A small saucepan
  • A metal spoon
  • ¾ cup olive oil , almond or jojoba
  • 2 tablespoons shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated beeswax
  • 1 teaspoon of grapefruit seed extract

Preparation


  1. Add oats to water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain the infusion and discard the solids.
  2. Heat oil, shea butter and beeswax over low heat in a small saucepan, stirring with a metal spoon until the wax is melted and the ingredients are completely mixed. Remove from heat.
  3. Pour oil in oatmeal infusion, stirring constantly until well blended.
  4. Add the grapefruit seed extract and blend until the mixture cools and thickens turning creamy and pour into prepared containers.

Advice

* Also prepare soap , mask and facial scrub oatmeal.
